They re durable look great and are long lasting. Laminate countertops resist stains heat scratches and won t break on impact.

Laminate can handle hot pots and pans up to 400 degrees just fine. Drop a heavy pot of water on it without worries. This thin layer of plastic is not water proof only water resistant and what is underneath it layers of colored paper. Placing a hot pan directly on the countertop weakens the adhesive holding the laminate to the substrate.

Heat and moisture are the two most common causes of laminate separation.
